The latest private release from Barrel Craft Spirits, expression 1C10 is a masterclass in cask finishing — a bold North American rye whiskey elevated by time spent in an XO Cognac cask. Sourced from Indiana & Canada and blended from 4–9 year old rye whiskeys, this is a spirit that bridges American rye tradition with French elegance.
Tasting Notes: Dried apricot, candied orange peel, and warm grape must over cracked black pepper, fresh dill, and toasted grain. Velvety mid-palate with dark honey, beeswax, and toasted brioche, leading to a long, warming finish with lingering spice and fruit.
