Our Story – Over 165 Years in the MakingThe building that now houses Blackpool Bourbon has been part of Blackpool life since 1858, originally opening as a hotel complete with tea rooms, café, bar, and tobacco reseller. It has proudly served the town through the height of the Victorian era, the war years (when the ladies kept the business running while the gentlemen were away), and right through to today.What started as a traditional tobacco, hotel and refreshment stop has evolved into a specialist destination. Growing demand for American whiskeys led us to become one of the country’s leading bourbon bars. Today we stock one of the widest ranges of American whiskeys available to drink in any UK bar — with a focus on niche, hard-to-find, and truly unusual expressions.What Makes Us Different
- Bourbon & Whiskey Specialists — We are home to rare and allocated bourbons that are difficult to source elsewhere in the UK. Think Pappy Van Winkle, Weller, Kentucky Owl, Eagle Rare, and many more private barrel picks and limited releases. Our whiskey list features over 200 whiskies in total, covering the best of America and beyond.
- Official Cuban Cigar Stockist — We are an Official English Market Selection (EMS) Approved Cuban Cigar retailer — the only approved cigar store in Blackpool. Our range of over 100 cigars (Cuban and premium non-Cuban) is constantly growing. A brand-new climate-controlled humidor and outdoor cigar terrace are scheduled to open in late 2025/early 2026, giving guests the perfect setting to enjoy a smoke by the sea.
