Chinchalero & Conquistador

Chinchalero was founded in 2011 by British cigar expert John Atherton, who brought years of experience from General Cigars International to Nicaragua. The name pays homage to the traditional chinchales — the small family-run rolling rooms of Latin America. Hand-rolled primarily in Estelí using carefully selected Nicaraguan and Honduran long-filler tobaccos, a Honduran binder, and an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade or Maduro wrapper, Chinchalero specialises in compact formats.

Conquistador complements the collection with equally honest, medium-bodied Nicaraguan handmade cigars. Featuring Ecuadorian wrappers over Nicaraguan binders and fillers (often from the Condega and Jalapa regions), these cigars offer creamy sweetness balanced by cocoa, coffee, and gentle pepper. Available in classic vitolas such as Robusto, Toro, and Churchill, Conquistador provides reliable, flavourful smoking at a highly accessible price point.
