The Gurkha Cellar Reserve 12 Year Platinum Toro brings aged Nicaraguan tobacco to the Cellar Reserve family. Binder and filler tobaccos from Condega, Estelí and Jalapa are aged for up to 12 years, then finished with an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper.
Presented as a box of three Toro Tubo cigars, this 6-inch × 54 format gives the aged filler room to express its creamy character. Set one aside for an unhurried occasion and explore a medium-strength profile with a fuller flavour.
Tasting notes
Nuttiness and sweetness lead the way, followed by earth, cedar and leather. A spice note rounds out the finish, while the larger ring gauge keeps the aged tobacco’s character creamy rather than sharp.
