The Crowned Heads Mil Días Edmundo brings nearly three years of blend development into a concentrated 5 3/8-inch × 52 robusto. Its name, Spanish for “a thousand days”, reflects the time Jon Huber spent developing the line.
Rolled at Tabacalera Pichardo in Estelí, Nicaragua, Mil Días was the first Crowned Heads blend to feature Costa Rican and Peruvian filler tobaccos. An Ecuadorian Habano wrapper surrounds a Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua, Peru and Costa Rica.
Tasting notes
A medium to medium-full profile combines creamy sweet tobacco with baking spice, oak, earth and pepper. Leather and dry woodiness add depth, with sweetness that can build towards the finish. The compact Edmundo format keeps these flavours concentrated throughout a roughly hour-long smoke.
