Bold yet balanced smoke with notes of cedar, leather, toasted nuts, black pepper and a creamy finish. Earthy spice builds through the second half with good smoke output.
2. Gurkha Beast XO Maduro
Wrapper: Costa Rican Maduro (aged)
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Dominican, Honduran & Colombian
Strength: Medium-Full
Rich and robust. Dark cocoa, espresso, leather and earth with a touch of natural sweetness and molasses. Thick, creamy smoke. A true powerhouse in the pack.
3. Gurkha Beauty XO Limited Natural
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Dominican
Strength: Mild to Medium
Smooth and elegant. Cream, vanilla, toasted nuts, caramel and light cedar. Very approachable with a refined, slightly sweet profile. Ideal for milder palates.
4. Gurkha Evil XO Limited Natural
Wrapper: Brazilian (Mata Fina / Habano)
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Nicaraguan
Strength: Medium-Full to Full
Spicy and toasty. Black pepper, cedar, earth, roasted nuts and wood with a warm, slightly sweet finish. Strength and flavour intensify as it burns.
5. Gurkha Ninja XO Maduro
Wrapper: Brazilian Maduro
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Nicaraguan
Strength: Medium
Smooth and flavourful. Coffee, cocoa, cream, wood and nuttiness with hints of chocolate. Clean finish and excellent construction. Often described as one of the most consistent in the sampler.
6. Gurkha Vintage Shaggy XO Maduro
Wrapper: Dominican (aged 8 years)
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Dominican (aged 5 years)
Strength: Medium
Distinctive shaggy foot. Oak, spice, coffee, chocolate, leather and a hint of vanilla. The exposed foot lets you taste the aged filler first before the wrapper joins. Smooth and well-aged character.
7. Gurkha Seduction XO Natural
Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
Binder: Dominican Olor
Filler: Colombian Corojo
Strength: Medium
Aromatic and slightly sweet. Cream, cashew, cedar, honey, chocolate and coffee with gentle spice. Softens in the final third with more chocolate and wood.
8. Gurkha Vintage Shaggy XO Natural
Wrapper: Dominican (aged)
Binder: Dominican
Filler: Dominican
Strength: Medium
Similar core blend to the Maduro version but with a lighter wrapper. Cedar, leather, toasted nuts, cream, light coffee and a touch of sweetness. The shaggy foot again provides an interesting evolution as the burn progresses.
